FRANKLIN, Ind. - The schedule for the 2019 Franklin cross country season has been announced, with third-year head coach Brandon Dworak and the Grizzlies set to compete in seven total events this coming fall.
As has been tradition in recent years, the Grizzlies will start off the regular season on their home turf, hosting the 2019 Grizzly Invitational at Blue River Park in nearby Shelbyville, Ind. on Aug. 31. The first race begins at 10:00 a.m. with the second race to begin at 10:45 a.m.
September features a pair of in-state events, with the Grizzlies taking part in the Hanover Invitational on Sept. 7 and the McNichols Invite in Terre Haute, Ind. on Sept. 21. The regular season concludes with the Greater Louisville Classic on Oct. 5 and the Inter-Region Rumble, hosted by Oberlin College on Oct. 19.
Post-season competition gets underway when the Grizzlies head back to Terre Haute on Nov. 3 for the 2019 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Championships with Rose-Hulman serving as the hosts. Thirteen days later, the Grizzlies head north to Grand Rapids, Mich. for the Great Lakes Regional Championship, hosted by Calvin College.
