Stahl Collects First HCAC Defensive Player of the Week Award

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Franklin senior defensive specialist Libby Stahl was named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Defensive Player of the Week on Monday (Sept. 24) afternoon, collecting the weekly award for the first time in her career.

The Indianapolis, Ind.-native averaged 5.08 digs per set last week, racking up 61 total as the Grizzlies went 1-2 on the week. For the year, Stahl leads the team and sits sixth in the HCAC in total digs (238) and digs per set (4.58). She also becomes the first Grizzly volleyball players to earn a conference player of the week award since Kennedy Surface back on Oct. 31, 2016.

Stahl and the Grizzlies are back in action on Tuesday (Sept. 25) night, taking on Defiance College in their HCAC home opener. First serve from the Spurlock Center is set for 7:30 p.m.
