DELAWARE, Ohio – The Franklin volleyball team hit the road to begin their third weekend invitational on Friday (Sept. 14) evening, taking on Otterbein College in the opening match of the Ohio Wesleyan Bishop Invitational.
The Grizzlies (4-5) struggled with the Cardinals (5-4), falling in three sets to halt their winning streak at four matches. Abigail Sewell topped the Grizzlies with seven kills, but the Franklin attack was stifled all afternoon by the Cardinals, hitting -.045 to Otterbein's .352.

Set two saw the Grizzlies trailing 14-11 at one point, but another surge from the Cardinals led to a 25-14 victory in game two. Otterbein would go on to close out the sweep with a 25-11 set three win.
Kyra Harvey and Kyndall Boyll finished behind Sewell on the leaderboard with four kills each. Mackenzie Waldran handed out a team-high 12 assists and Libby Stahl finished with 19 digs, snapping a three-match streak of 20 digs or more.
