Volleyball Loses Road HCAC Match at Transylvania

Lexington, Ky. - The Franklin College volleyball team fell to 2-3 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play when it lost in straight sets to Transylvania University (25-16, 25-13, 25-21) on Wednesday.

Transylvania held a 38-21 edge in kills during the match.

Juniors Brooke Harvey and Amanda Lelivelt each registered five kills to lead the team's offensive attack. Freshman Jenna Spini added four kills in the match.

Four Transylvania players recorded six or more kills.

Sophomore Libby Stahl led the Grizzlies with 12 digs and senior Ashley Bazier tallied eight digs.

Franklin returns to action on Saturday, October 15 at 2 p.m. when it hosts Bluffton University from the Spurlock Center.
