Women’s Track And Field Team Has Impressive Performances At Outdoor Championships

ANDERSON, Ind. (April 29, 2017) The Franklin College women's track and field team is in ninth place following Saturday's round of the rain-delayed Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships.

Sophomore Kelsey Bowling finished third in the triple jump, fourth in the 100-meter hurdles and seventh in the high jump to lead the Grizzlies. Freshman Sarah Miller was seventh in the 100-meter dash, and junior Bret Roberts was ninth in the pole vault.

The Grizzlies were sixth in both the 400- and 1,600-meter relays.

The meet will conclude Wednesday with the javelin and 10,000-meter run. Franklin will be the host site for those events.

Hanover sits atop the team standings with a score of 155.
