Women’s Track and Field Team Has Strong Performances At Twilight Meet

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (April 22, 2017) -- The Franklin College women's track and field finished seventh at Friday night's Rose-Hulman Twilight Meet.

The meet was highlighted by several strong performances by the Grizzlies.

Sophomore Kelsey Bowling had a very strong meet, placing second in the 100-meter hurdles (16.71), second in long jump (5.11 meters) and third in triple jump (10.31 meters).

Freshman Sarah Miller placed second in the javelin throw with a throw of 30.24 meters and was eighth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.83.

Sophomore Laura Worthington placed eighth in the discus with a throw of 29.81 meters.

The women will return to action in their last full meet of the season in the April 28-29 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships at Anderson University.
