Women’s Track to Compete in Indoor Conference Meet

FRANKLIN, Ind. (February 17 , 2017) – The Franklin College women's track and field team will compete in Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Track and Field Indoor Championship at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

The meet is the last official meet of the indoor season. 

Senior Erica Christy is ranked first in the conference in the shotput and fifth in the weight throw.

The Grizzlies have also received strong performances throughout the season from freshmen sprinters Sarah Miller and Taylor McDaniel. Miller is second in the HCAC in the 200-meter dash. McDaniel is ranked fourth in the conference in the 60-meter dash. 

In addition, school triple jump record-holder Kelsey Bowling, a sophomore, is ranked sixth in the conference in the 60-meter hurdles and third in the triple jump. 

The meet will begin at 1 p.m. After this meet, the men and women's track and field programs will begin their outdoor seasons.
