FC Women Pack Liberal Arts All-Championship Swim Team

ELSAH, Ill. (Feb. 17, 2017) – After dominating the recent Liberal Arts Championship meet, the Franklin College men's and women's swimming teams had a wealth of athletes named to the 2017 All-Championship team. 

A total of 71 athletes earned the distinction of being named to the All-Championship team this year – 34 women and 37 men.  They represent 10 different schools – eight schools were represented on the women's side and eight schools on the men's side.

Individually for the women, Karlee Demsey and Regina Solik from Franklin College and Emily Anderson from Luther College led the way with six All-Championship Team recognitions each.

On the men's side, Franklin College's Artur Schnieder and Garrett Cadotte from Nebraska Wesleyan University shared the lead with seven All-Championship Team recognitions each. 
In order to earn a spot on the All-Championship team an athlete must place in the top 3 of an individual event or be on a relay that places in the top 3.
Franklin's women's selections were: Haley Blaich (100 Free, 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay, 800 Free Relay); Karlee Demsey (100 Back, 100 Fly, 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay, 200 Medley Relay, 400 Medley Relay); Mackenzie Dwyer (200 Back, 200 IM, 800 Free Relay, 200 Medley Relay, 400 Medley Relay); Kaitlin Mans (100 Breast, 200 Medley Relay, 400 Medley Relay); Amy McCormick (200 Free, 500 Free, 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay, 800 Free Relay); Regina Solik (50 Free, 100 Free, 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay, 200 Medley Relay, 400 Medley Relay); and Sarah Taylor (800 Free Relay).
