Franklin, Ind. - The Franklin College men's and women's swimming and diving teams are preparing to host Centre College and Anderson University on Saturday, November 5 at 1 p.m. from Franklin Community Middle School.
The Grizzlies open the weekend slate by heading to Millikin University for dual meets against Lincoln College and Millikin on Friday, November 4 at 7 p.m. from Decatur, Illinois.
Both Franklin swimming teams are ranked by CollegeSwimming.com with the men holding a No. 25 ranking. Meanwhile, the women's swimming and diving team stands No. 48 in the national poll.
Senior Artur Schneider is currently ranked 10th in the nation for the 100-yard backstroke. He is also ranked 11th in the 100-yard freestyle. He is ranked in the top-30 for two other events.
The Grizzlies are coming off dominating performances in the dual meet opener against Manchester University last Saturday.
Junior Sam Hall won the 100-yard backstroke at the Manchester meet (54.75 seconds), while sophomore Cameron Culp won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.19).
In diving, sophomore Will Combs and freshman Jacob Keener won two separate 1-meter dive competitions. Combs recorded a score of 226 points, while Keener had a score of 146 points based on the judge's scores.
Sophomore women's swimmer Mackenzie Dwyer is coming off an event victory in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:03.76. Junior Kaitlin Mans took top honors in the 200-yard breaststroke race against Manchester.
Sophomore women's diver Bri Gunning swept both 1-meter diving events that featured a high score of 128.4 points.
