Franklin, Ind. - The last two unbeaten women's soccer teams in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) play square off when Franklin College hosts rival Hanover College on Tuesday, October 21 at 7:30 p.m. from Faught Stadium.
Franklin stands 8-2-3 on the season, is 4-0-1 in league play, and is unbeaten in its last nine matches. Meanwhile, Hanover is 11-3 overall and 5-0 in conference action.
The Grizzlies are coming off a 4-1 win at Bluffton University on Saturday. Freshman Masey Bunn (Brownsburg, Ind./Brownsburg) scored two goals in the victory. On the season, the forward leads Franklin with six goals
Freshman Haley Lowe (Lawrenceburg, Ind./Lawrenceburg) is tops on the team with 14 points, highlighted by five goals. She has also added four assists. Classmate Clare Lenart (Seymour, Ind./Seymour) leads the HCAC with seven assists.
Franklin is averaging 2.2 goals per match and features nine players with two or more goals scored on the season.
Senior Kayla Dragstrem (Brownsburg, Ind./Brownsburg) has tallied two goals and three assists. Senior Danielle Owens (New Palestine, Ind./New Palestine) and Jasmine Hunt (Indianapolis, Ind./Franklin Central) have each scored three goals this fall.
Freshman goalkeeper Jessica Young (Indianapolis, Ind./Roncalli) ranks third in the HCAC with a 0.93-goals-against-average and .800 save percentage. She has posted a 5-0-3 record for this season.
