Franklin, Ind. - Freshman Masey Bunn (Brownsburg, Ind./Brownsburg) scored her second goal of the season in lifting the Franklin College women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Wilmington College (Ohio) on Saturday from Faught Stadium. The goal came in the 87th minute of the match.

The Grizzlies (1-1) began the 2014 season by hosting the inaugural Franklin Invitational Soccer Tournament over the weekend.

Bunn made a long run down the left side of the pitch before chipping the ball over Wilmington goalkeeper Taylor Franklin in the closing minutes. The late goal marks the second-straight year Franklin has defeated the Quakers on a goal with less than three minutes remaining in the contest.

The Grizzlies held a 7-2 edge in shots in the second half and a 9-6 advantage for the match.

Bunn came off the bench to lead the attack with three shots. Freshman Clare Lenart (Seymour, Ind./Seymour) added two shots in the victory.

Sophomore Kelsie Williams (Indianapolis, Ind./Warren Central) made three saves – all coming in the first half – to record the shutout.

Wilmington's (0-2) Erika Good tallied three shots, including two shots on goal in the match.

Franklin returns to action on Wednesday, September 10 at 7 p.m. when it hosts St. Mary-of-the-Woods College from Faught Stadium.
