Women's Lacrosse Unveils 2019 Spring Schedule

FRANKLIN, Ind. – Franklin College women's lacrosse head coach Chris Wilham announced the Grizzlies' 2019 spring schedule on Tuesday (Jan. 8) afternoon. Five games at Faught Stadium highlight this year's schedule as the Grizzlies get set to compete for the inaugural Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) women's lacrosse championship this spring.

The Grizzlies start the year with a pair of contests at Faught Stadium, the first coming against Alma College on Saturday, Mar. 2 at 1:00 p.m. Following a 16-day layoff, the Grizzlies return to action under the lights on Mar. 18 with a showdown against Olivet College.

Non-conference play concludes with three straight road games at St. Mary's (Mar. 21), Sweet Briar (Mar. 24) and Ferrum (Mar. 26) to close out the first month of the year. The Grizzlies return to action at home on Apr. 6 to take on Hanover in the first HCLC contest of the year. Franklin will close out the home schedule with games against conference foes Thomas More (Apr. 17) and Earlham (Apr. 20).

The conference schedule will take Franklin to Anderson (Apr. 10), Transylvania (Apr. 13) and Mount St. Joseph (Apr. 24) to close out the regular season. The inaugural HCAC women's lacrosse tournament will be held on the campus of the regular season champion with the date to be announced later.
