FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin women's golf team put the finishing touches on their 2018-19 schedule on Sunday (Apr. 28), wrapping up the Franklin Spring Invitational.
The Grizzlies placed third overall at their home event, firing a team score of 701 (342-359). Sophomore Megg Hensler topped the Franklin leaderboard and earned a share of ninth place at the event with a 173 (85-88). In her final career event, senior Keely Townsend tied for 12th place with a 175 (83-92), a place shared by teammate Jaley Schlosser after she went 88-87 for a similar score.
Freshman Maci French shared 18th place after carding a 178 (86-92) and senior Hannah Sharkey rounded out the Franklin top-five with a 192 (95-97) and a 23rd place finish. Five Grizzlies competed in the event as individuals; Avery Auton placed 27th (120-93), Maggie McComas (102-112) and Mackenzie Black (107-107) shared 28th place, Taylor Dixon finished 30th (102-114) and Kitley Kern placed 33rd (129-125).
