BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Franklin women's golf team continued their spring schedule with a trip to Ironwood Golf Course for the 2019 Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling, hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University.

Originally set to take place over two days, the event was shortened to one round after wet weather wiped out Sunday's final round. The Grizzlies ended the tournament in 17th place, carding a team score of 360.

Playing in one of her final events, senior Hannah Sharkey led the way for the Grizzlies with an 87. Right on her heels was sophomore Megg Hensler with an 88 and Maci French with an 89, with those two earning shares of 73rd and 75th places, respectively.

Jaley Schlosser came in 86th place with a 96 and Mackenzie Black rounded out the Franklin lineup with a 101, earning a share of 88th place overall.

Grinnell College finished atop the leaderboard, winning by four shots with a 309.

The Grizzlies wrap up their season in two weeks, when they welcome a competitive field to The Legends Golf Course in Franklin on Apr. 27-28 for the Franklin Spring Invitational.
