FRANKLIN, IND. (February 1, 2017)- Franklin College women's basketball fell at home Wednesday night to HCAC rival Rose-Hulman by a final score of 45-36.
The Grizzlies struggled from the field collectively against the Fighting Engineers shooting just 30.6% on the night. Franklin lacked ball control and Rose-Hulman capitalized by forcing the Grizzlies into 27 turnovers. Heading into the fourth quarter the game was even at 33-33, but the Grizzlies came out cold scoring only 3 points to finish the game.
Rose-Hulman outscored Franklin 12-3 in the fourth quarter to pull away with the victory. Alyzia Dilworth finished with a game-high 19 points, shooting 7-11 from the field. The win moved the Fighting Engineer to a 11-1 record in the HCAC and 16-3 overall.
Women's basketball is back at home Saturday for their Alumni Day when they face Defiance in a women's/men's doubleheader. Women are set to tip-off at 2:00 pm.
