Franklin, Ind. (December 28, 2016) – Franklin College women's basketball was defeated by Trine University 66-47 on Wednesday night inside the Spurlock Center.
With the loss, the Grizzlies -- who played their final game of 2016 -- slip to 4-5.
Franklin struggled offensively, shooting 31.8 percent from from the field (14 of 44). Kayle Comer led the way for the Grizzlies with 11 total points. She was 2 of 7 from behind the arc. Mandy Fisher also tallied 10 points.
Trine University was 18 of 39 from the field and was 29 of 39 from the free throw stripe. The Thunder were led by Montana Martin, who tallied a game-high 14 points.
The Grizzlies will take a few days off before returning to the court Wednesday evening inside the Spurlock Center at 7:30 p.m. vs. Manchester.
