Franklin Women’s Wins Hard Close Game Against Earlham College

FRANKLIN, Ind. (December 10, 2016) – The Franklin College Women's Basketball team defeated Earlham College in a very close game with a final score of 60-56.

The game was back and forth with Franklin taking advantage of 29 turnovers and Earlham taking advantage of 13. This was Franklin's second Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference win, moving them to 2-1 HCAC record and a 4-4 season record.

Senior guard Lauren DeSutter and senior forward Sarah Taylor led the team after both of them scored 12 points throughout the game. Taylor also led the team in rounds (8) and DeSutter was 6-7 on her free throw attempts.Senior guard Mandy Fisher made huge contributions during the game after scoring 10 points and four total rebounds. Freshman Melissa Beer was 2-2 on her free throw attempts. 

The Grizzles will return to action December 18 at Bluffton College.
