FRANKLIN, Ind.– The Franklin College Women's Basketball team suffered their first conference loss after a hard fought game again Rose-Hulman with a final score of 56-48.
The Grizzles currently sit at 3-4 on the season (1-1 in the HCAC). Senior Sarah Taylor led the Grizzles in scoring for the game after putting up 13 points and three rebounds. Senior guard Mandy Fisher and junior guard Riley Achenbach also contributed to the team scored putting up nine points and seven points respectively. Senior forward Emily Alfrey helped the team by leading in rebounds (5) and scoring four points. Coming off the bench, freshman Erin Bradley helped out the team by putting up six points and three rebounds
Rose Hulman took the lead early on in the game putting up 20 points in the first quarter. However the Grizzles battled back scoring 16 points in the last quarter to make it an eight point game.
The Grizzles will have their next conference game at home against Earlham on December 10. Tip off will be at 1 p.m.
