INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - For the second straight week, Franklin College sophomore swimmer Courtnee Coffman and senior diver Will Combs have earn their respective Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) athlete of the week awards.

For Coffman, she picks up her second career HCAC Women's Swimmer of the Week award following another strong outing against DePauw last Saturday (Jan. 19). The New Palestine, Ind.-native racked up two individual wins and was a part of both of Franklin's victorious relay squads in their 175-119 win over the Tigers. Coffman opened her day with a win in the 50 freestyle, setting a new venue record when she touched at 24.23 seconds. Later in the night, she added a win in the 100 freestyle, claiming the top spot in 53.57 seconds. For good measure, Coffman would swim the opening leg of Franklin's 400-freestyle relay team and served as the anchor for thier victorious 200-medley relay as Franklin ran their unbeaten streak in dual competition to 21 in a row.

Combs became a six-time HCAC Men's Diver of the Week after picking up two more wins on the boards against DePauw last weekend. The Indianapolis, Ind.-native racked up wins on the one- and three-meter boards, finishing with 219.05 and 222.35 points, respectively. In total, Combs has taken first place on the one-meter board in 11-of-12 competitions and is a three-time winner in five different meets in which he competed on the three-meter board. He has not finished lower than second in any competition this year.

Both will be in action on Friday (Jan. 25) night, when Franklin hosts Rose-Hulman in their final home event of the year. Before the action gets going, the program will recognize its six senior student-athletes competing in their final home event. The first race at Franklin Middle School is set to begin at 6:00 p.m.
