INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Coming off a dominant week at the plate, Franklin College sophomore catcher Natalie Weber has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Hitter of the Week for the second time in her career.

The Shelbyville, Ind.-native tormented opposing pitching last week, going 10-for-12 at the plate for an .833 average with nine RBI and six runs scored and a pair of stolen bases as Franklin rolled to a perfect 4-0 week against conference foes Rose-Hulman and Bluffton. She finished with multiple hits and at least one run driven in across all four games.

After the weekend, Weber sits second in the HCAC in batting average (.461), runs batted in (25), slugging percentage (.684) and hits (35). Additionally, her seven doubles have her tied for seventh among all players and her .523 on-base percentage is tops among all qualified players.

Natalie and the rest of the Franklin softball team open an eight-game homestand on Tuesday (Apr. 16) afternoon, hosting St. Mary's College (Ind.) at Behrens Field. First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m.
