NEWS | Franklin Set to Meet Calvin in First Ever NCAA Tournament Game

FRANKLIN, Ind. – A day after clinching the program's first ever Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Tournament championship, the Franklin College softball team learned their opponent and location for the program's first ever NCAA Tournament game.

The Grizzlies (29-10) will travel to Holland, Mich. for games this Thursday-Saturday (May 10-12) for the four-team, double-elimination regional hosted by Hope College. First up for the Grizzlies is a meeting with Calvin College (30-8), who punched their ticket to regionals after a strong showing in the MIAA Tournament. It is the Knight's first appearance in a regional since 1998.

The other half of the regional feature the host and MIAA Tournament champion Hope College (29-9). The Flying Dutch will meet Greenville University (21-15), who are making their third consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance after capturing the SLIAC Tournament title.
