NEWS | Softball Washed Out on Saturday; Will Face Mount St. Joseph on Sunday in Semifinals of HCAC Tournament

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Day two of the 2018 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Softball Tournament has been washed out due to rain.

Per the conference rules, the four teams remaining will re-seed and play a single-elimination tournament on Sunday (May 6) afternoon for the right to call someone HCAC champions.

As the tournament's second seed, Franklin (27-10) will get another crack at third-seeded Mount St. Joseph to open the day on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. The Grizzlies and Lions met in each team's opening game, a 6-0 MSJ victory.

The other semifinal meeting will feature top-seeded Transylvania against fourth-seeded Defiance. The winners of the two games will meet in the championship game, which is set to take place at approximately 2:00 p.m.
