Grizzlies Place Eight on HCAC's List of Athletes to Watch for Indoor Season

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) released its pre-season indoor track and field rankings on Thursday (Jan. 17) and eight Grizzly student-athletes have been named "Athletes to Watch" by the league and its coaches.

On the women's side, seniors Kelsey Bowling (sprints/jumps) and Laura Worthington (throws), juniors Sarah Miller (sprints) and Jayla Callens (distance) and sophomore Morgan Clarke (sprints/jumps) were all recognized by league at athletes to keep an eye on. Senior Nathan Adams (throws) and Matt Stienke (sprints/hurdles) join junior Clayton Brumfield (distance) as the Franklin men named to the list of athletes to watch.

The Grizzly men were picked to finish eighth by the league coaches while the women's team slots into ninth in the pre-season rankings. Both polls can be found below.

Franklin continues their indoor season on Friday (Jan. 18) night, traveling to Terre Haute, Ind. for the Rose-Hulman Friday Night Spikes Invitational. Action gets underway at 6:00 p.m.
