Consistent Rounds Lead Men’s Golf to Second-Place Finish at Manchester

Wabash, Ind. - The Franklin College men's golf team shot four rounds in the 70s to lead to a second-place finish at the Manchester Invitational at the Honeywell Golf Course on Saturday.

The Grizzlies compiled a 301 team score during the 18-hole event.

Senior Chris Arnold (Quincy, Ind./Cloverdale) led the effort, tying for fifth place individually with a 72-stroke score. Classmate Joshua Rhoads (Batesville, Ind./Batesville) carded a five-over-par 76 on Saturday.

Sophomore Andrew Behnke (Terre Haute, Ind./Terre Haute North) also shot a 76-stroke score.

Sophomore Sam Pollock (Terre Haute, Ind./Terre Haute North) rounded out the consistent scorers with a 77. Classmate Jack Knue (Zionsville, Ind./Zionsville) shot a 78-stroke score.

Saturday marked the final tune up prior to the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships. The first two rounds will be played April 25-26 at the University Club of Kentucky Big Blue Course in Lexington, Kentucky. The final two rounds will follow at the Anderson Country Club from May 2-3.
