Pollock Leads Men’s Golf in Opening Round of Huntingdon Invitational

Montgomery, Ala. - Franklin College sophomore Sam Pollock (Terre Haute, Ind./Terre Haute North) carded a career-low round of 75 in leading the men's golf team during Monday's opening round of the Huntingdon Invitational.

Pollock shot two-under-par on the front nine with birdies on the first and ninth holes. He got to three-under-par with a birdie on the par-4 12th hole. Pollock is tied for 12th out of 60 players in the field.

Franklin stands in eighth place after shooting a 327 team score on 6,804-yard, par 72 Wynlakes Golf & Country Club. The tournament features six teams currently ranked in the top 35 NCAA Division III rankings.

Senior Chris Arnold (Quincy, Ind./Cloverdale) carded a round of 82, while sophomore Andrew Behnke (Terre Haute, Ind./Terre Haute North) shot an opening round of 83.

Franklin will close out the two-day tournament with the final round on Tuesday, March 31 at 9 a.m. Live results will be available HERE.
