Greencastle, Ind. - The Franklin College men's golf team finished in ninth place at the 36-hole DePauw Invitational over the weekend.
Senior Chris Arnold (Quincy, Ind./Cloverdale) led the effort with an eighth-place finish with a 154 score. He shot an 75-stroke score during Sunday's final round.
Franklin shot a 324 team score on Sunday and finished the tournament with 653 composite score.
Freshman Spencer Portish (Lebanon, Ind./Lebanon) shot a 164 score, highlighted by an 80 on Saturday. Sophomore Sam Pollock (Terre Haute, Ind./Terre Haute North) followed closely behind with a 168 score behind two 84 scores.
Franklin returns to action on October 4-5 when it participates in the Wabash Invitational at the Crawfordsville Country Club.
