Grizzlies Lose Season Finale

FRANKLIN, IND. (February 18, 2017) – Franklin College men's basketball fell 104-66 to Anderson University on the team's final game of the 2016-17 season.

The Grizzlies honored four graduating seniors Saturday who have all been key contributors in their time at Franklin, however, could not withstand Anderson's efficient offensive attack. The Ravens started strong with a 20 point lead at the half and didn't let up in the regular season finisher.

Franklin struggled to control the boards being outrebounded 44-24 by Anderson. The Ravens were strong offensively shooting 58.6% from the field as a team while the Grizzlies posted a 41.1 shooting percentage to finish.

Freshman Braxton Day finished strong in his first season with the Grizzlies recording 22 points. Senior Aaron Mann closed out an impressive career at Franklin with 17 points and 3 assists.

Five players ended the day scoring in double figures for the Ravens. Leading the way was Brant Gadberry shooting 13-23 from the field and posting 33 of Anderson's 104 total points.

Franklin wrapped up their 2016-17 season with an overall record of 6-18 and finished 3-14 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play.
