FRANKLIN, Ind. (Feb. 14, 2017) – The Franklin College men's basketball team plays host to Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference opponent Transylvania University on Wednesday night.
Tip-off is 7:30 p.m. in Spurlock Center.
Franklin senior guard Aaron Mann is the third-leading scorer in the HCAC. He averages a team-high 19.3 points per game and is also the Grizzlies' top rebounder at 6.7 rebounds per game.
Senior guard Robbie Prather is the Grizzlies' second-leading scorer and top three-point shooter. He averages 13.2 points per game and shoots 36.4 percent from behind the arc. Junior center John Beineke averages 12.5 points and 6.7 rebounds per game and is Franklin's top field goal shooter at 59.3 percent from the floor.
Freshman guard Braxton Day and senior forward Brent McCory also are among Franklin's top contributors. Day averages 11.6 ppg and 3.0 rpg, and McCory averages 7.7 ppg and 4.9 rpg.
The Grizzlies are 6-17 overall and 3-13 in the HCAC. They are looking to avenge an 87-71 loss at Transylvania on Jan. 11.
Transylvania is 15-8 overall and 10-6 in the HCAC. The Pioneers are led by senior Alex Jones and sophomore Cooper Theobold. Both average 16.3 ppg. Sophomore Kyle Gullett averages 13.4 ppg and freshman Gabe Schmitt averages 12.2 ppg.
