FRANKLIN, Ind. (February 9, 2017) -- The Franklin College men's basketball team will travel to Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference rival Mount St. Joseph University on Saturday.
Tip-off is 2 p.m. in Mount St. Jospeh's Harrington Center.
Franklin senior guard Aaron Mann is among the HCAC's top scorers. He averages a team-leading 19.4 points per game, third-best in the HCAC, and is also the Grizzlies' top rebounder at 6.8 rebounds per game.
Senior guard Robbie Prather is the Grizzlies' second-leading scorer and top three-point shooter. He averages 13.5 points per game and shoots 35.7 percent from behind the arc. Junior center John Beineke is fifth in the HCAC in field goal shooting at 59.5 percent. He averages 12.5 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.
Freshman guard Braxton Day and senior forward Brent McCory also are among Franklin's top contributors. Day averages 11.1 ppg and 2.8 rpg, and McCory averages 7.7 ppg and 4.9 rpg.
The Grizzlies are 6-16 overall and 3-13 in the HCAC.
Mount St. Joseph is tied for second in the HCAC standings with Anderson University. The Lions are 17-5 overall and 12-3 in the conference.
Junior Andrew Finley is the Lions' top scorer at 15.4 ppg. Freshman Adam Goetz averages 14.3 ppg.
Franklin is looking to avenge an 86-74 home loss against the Lions on Jan. 7.
