FRANKLIN, Ind. (Feb. 7, 2017) – The Franklin College men's basketball team will travel to Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference co-leader Hanover College on Wednesday night.
Franklin is looking to halt a three-game skid and avenge a 78-57 home loss against Hanover on Jan. 18.
Senior guard Aaron Mann is Franklin's top scorer and is tied for the team lead in rebounds. He averages 19.1 points and 6.9 boards per game and also leads the Grizzlies in assists at 2.6 apg.
Senior guard Robbie Prather is the Grizzlies' second-leading scorer at 13.5 ppg. He also shoots a team-best 34.6 percent from 3-point range.
Junior center John Beineke, meanwhile, averages 13.0 ppg and 6.9 rpg and shoots a team-leading 60.4 percent from the field for the Grizzlies.
Freshman guard Braxton Day and senior forward Brent McCory also are among Franklin's top contributors. Day averages 11.1 ppg and 2.9 rpg, and McCory averages 7.7 ppg and 4.9 rpg.
Franklin is 6-15 overall and 3-11 in the HCAC.
Hanover, meanwhile, is 17-3 overall and 12-2 in the HCAC. The Panthers are tied with Mount St. Joseph for the conference lead.
Hanover is led by junior Wes McKinney, sophomore Cam Fails and junior Corey Muchmore. McKinney averages 18.8 ppg. Fails averages 15.9 ppg, and Muchmore averages 13.4 ppg.
Tip-off is 7:30 p.m. in Hanover's Collier Arena.
