FRANKLIN, Ind. (Jan. 20, 2017) – The Franklin College men's basketball team will host Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference rival Bluffton at 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
The game is part of Saturday's Alumi Day celebrations.
Franklin is 4-11 overall and 1-7 in the HCAC. The Grizzlies are looking to halt a six-game skid.
Franklin's season scoring leader is senior guard Aaron Mann, who averages 18.2 points per game. He is also the Grizzlies' leading rebounder at 7.0 rebounds per game. Junior center John Beineke averages 14.9 ppg and 6.4 rpg and is among the HCAC leaders in field goal shooting at 63.4 percent from the field. Senior guard Robbie Prather averages 14.1 ppg and shoots a team-leading 37.5 percent from 3-point range.
Senior forward Brent McCory and freshman guard Braxton Day are also among the Grizzlies' top contributors. McCory averages 7.8 ppg and 5.4 rpg, and Day averages 8.7 ppg.
Bluffton is 9-6 overall and 2-6 in the HCAC. The Beavers are led by senior Auston Rohde, sophomore Jared Wentling and freshman Andrew Renner. Rohde averages 18.9 ppg and Wentling averages 14.1 ppg. Renner averages 9.1 ppg.
