Bud Boughton has been actively involved with the Franklin College football program for 12 seasons (2007). Over the years he has served as an assistant position coach working with the offensive line, tight ends and wide receivers. In 2018 he once again will be working with the offensive line. He also serves as the Team Chaplain for the GRIZ leading chapel services on Game Day. Coach Boughton’s previous coaching experience includes stints at Ball State University and Earlham College.
Bud played his college football at the University of Buffalo and Ashland University (OH) where he is a member of the Ashland University All-Sports Hall of Fame. He has extensive background as a corporate executive and is also a published author. His latest book, Coaching is Teaching at its Best! serves as an excellent guide for coaches at all levels and corporate management teams. He truly believes that the best coaches are the best teachers, be it in athletics or the business world.
Bud and his wife, Cindy, live in Greenwood, Indiana
