Franklin, Ind. - The Franklin College Grizzlies ended their regular season on Saturday with a 38-21victory over the Hanover College Panthers for the 60th Victory Bell game. The Grizzlies claimed their 12th straight Victory Bell in the win on senior day.
Junior quarterback Chase Burton completed 34-48 passes for 532 yards and five touchdowns. Burton connected with Lee Wroblewski for the Grizzlies to get on the board in the first three minutes of the game with a 70-yard touchdown pass.
In the second half, Burton and Alexander connected for a 25-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter. In the 4th quarter, Burton tossed two more 20 plus yard touchdown passses to Brad Bonomini and Alex Smith.
The Panthers offense recorded 380 total yards, 359 coming from the air. Hanover's defense was led by Ross McDonough with 10 total tackles.
Franklin (8-2, 7-1 HCAC) will look to see if they receive an at large bid into the NCAA Tournament, the selection show is Sunday night at 6 p.m.
