Baseball Team Falls At Bluffton

BLUFFTON, Ohio (April 21) – The Franklin College baseball team lost 7-4 Friday evening at Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference rival Bluffton University.

The game was the first of a three-game series that resumes Saturday with a doubleheader.

With the loss, Franklin slips to 17-13 overall and 9-8 in the HCAC.

Bluffton took control early, scoring five runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looking back. The Grizzlies scored two runs in the top of the ninth but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit.

Designated hitter Alex Mis was 2-for-5 at the plate with three RBIs and a run scored to lead Franklin's offense.

Saturday's game times are noon and 3 p.m.
