Franklin, Ind. - A total of 23 Franklin College winter student-athletes from six sports teams have been recognized on the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference's (HCAC) Academic All-Conference team for their contributions in the classroom and athletics.
The women's indoor track and field team led the selections, with six student-athletes being honored, and closely followed by women's swimming and diving, with five honorees. Men's swimming and diving and women's basketball each had four selections.
The HCAC recognizes student-athletes who have completed one full academic year, are enrolled full time at the institution, and have a 3.5-of-better accumulative grade point average at the conclusion of the academic period preceding the end of each sport.

Franklin had success in several sports during the winter season, with the men's swimming team winning its third consecutive Liberal Arts Championships and having Artur Schneider qualifying for the NCAA Division III national championships; the women's swimming team won the Heartland Invitational and placed second at the Liberal Arts Championships; and the women's basketball team advanced to the semifinal round of the HCAC postseason tournament.
